This week we shipped improvements across Sales and Novated to make quoting, policy and asset workflows clearer. Highlights include showing Loss Deductability when creating assets and budgets, reassigning deals (including priority, expected close and follow‑up dates), a notification popup that shows invoice delivery history, contact‑type badges on contact sheets, and the ability to view policies per individual asset.
Here’s what’s new:
Loss Deductability
Loss Deductability, also known as LCA or LVA, was hidden from the Asset Migration flow and in Novated Management. Now, you may view these figures when you are setting up an asset in novated and when you create a new budget.
These values are calculated automatically and added to your budget totals when you choose to include them. If you enable Loss Deductability in Sales, it will sync to Novated Management by default.
Reassign deal, priority and the follow up dates
If you have a large sales team and require re-shuffling of assigned sales people on deals then you will love this feature. When creating or viewing a deal, you can assign it to anyone else who has permission to do deals.
We have also extended this to allow changing of priorities, expected close date and follow up dates. These changes automatically will update the "My Deals" table with the newly assigned deals for that salesperson.
Notification popup
We wanted to give everyone better visibility on the delivery status of the invoices that were either manually raised or automatically sent out each day. You can hover over the notification badge which then will show how many times an email was sent out for that invoice and who was sent that email. Additionally, you can get live updates by simply clicking the refresh button next to the status.
Reallocate overpaid invoices
You can now reallocate overpaid amounts from one invoice to others! This makes it easier to tidy up situations where, say, an employer sends one big payment that actually covers multiple invoices.A few things to know:
This is separate from the “link unclassified transactions to invoices” feature.
Reallocation happens at the invoice level — you can only do it once the main (overpaid) invoice has been reconciled and marked as paid.
Bug fixes & improvements
You can view policies for a specific asset when you are in the context of said asset.
We now have included the type of contact next to the linked employer when you open the contact sheet.
Improve column widths on the banking report table
Fix an issue where account was not being automatically selected when you create a policy from the context of an asset
That's it for this week! Until next time!
