Update Details

Changelog #2025-09-23

This week’s updates focus on improving policy management, quote handling, and beneficiary workflows. You can now archive beneficiaries, cancel or end policies with more clarity, view quote documents and details more easily, and access payroll advice directly from Sales.

We’ve also added email validation to reduce errors and made several bug fixes and performance improvements across the platform. Here’s what’s new:

Archive Beneficiaries

You can now keep your list of client bank details tidy by archiving beneficiaries you no longer need - inactive ones are automatically moved out of the main view, and any past transactions linked to archived beneficiaries will still retain their full history.

Payroll Advice on Sales

You can now generate payroll advice before a deal is finalised in the Sales tool. This gives employers early visibility of deductions and payments, helping them prepare in advance and avoid delays once the lease is live

Canceling and Ending Policies

We've made it easier to manage insurance policies in Karia with clearer workflows and more control. You can now:

  • Cancel policies mid-term, for example when added by mistake or due to incorrect data entry, with confirmation and reason tracking

  • Mark policies as ended at term, using an improved, more transparent process

Quote Documents and view quote details post generation

All generated quotes are now available for download directly from the deal summary page - no need to re-generate an indicative quote if the original is lost.

We have also added the ability to go back and view generated quotes. Simply click on
"View Quote Details" to access it

Ongoing stress and load testing

For the techies reading this change log - this week, our focus was on stress testing and optimising the Create Deal flow within our Sales tool to ensure robustness and scalability as we prepare to extend our services to external APIs and onboard more clients.

  • At 500 virtual users (VUs), we achieved a 100% success rate with 38,004 deals successfully created.

  • The average response time was around 2.95 seconds, with the 95th percentile response time at 5.98 seconds.

  • There were no failed HTTP requests, indicating strong stability under high load.

  • The test maintained a steady throughput of approximately 125 iterations per second, handling a significant volume of requests without degradation.

  • The test ran for approximately 5 minutes, sustaining this performance consistently throughout the duration.

Bug Fixes & Performance Tweaks

  • Email validation: Real-time checks now reduce bounced emails by flagging typos or invalid formats as you type - saving time and reducing follow-ups.

  • Policy workflows: Fixed specific issues related to mid-term cancellations and end-of-term processing.

  • Invoice linking: Resolved a bug where certain invoices weren’t linking to unclassified transactions. The issue was fixed within hours of reporting, and affected invoices were promptly tidied up by the team.

  • Performance: General improvements across the platform for a faster, more stable experience.
